District Proper Candles is a woman-owned, minority-owned small business. Sierra launched the company in 2024. She hand-pours every candle using premium, nontoxic ingredients like soy or coconut apricot wax — vegan and cruelty-free. She designs fragrances that feel elevated, modern, and inherently personal, inspired by the unique staples of DC.
